I'm getting tired of this

How long does it take for a broken foot to heal? First they said there was one broken bone then on closer inspection they found another fracture. It still swells after I've been up a while and the bruises are still there. Part of my foot is black but not quite as black as it was. My right side is so sore from trying to carry all the weight with the walker. I can't go very far with it so Paul has to push me in the wheelchair. I'm just totally miserable. Especially when I get tired so easily because of my heart problem. Paul has to do everything, even help me take a shower and that's a job, believe me. By the time I'm through I'm totally exhausted.

Oh well, I didn't mean to whine or complain, I'm just so tired. It hurts to sit in this chair so much because of the heavy boot/cast that's making that hip sore. That's why I'm not writing as much. I just feel like giving up sometimes but Paul gets so upset when I say that and I don't really mean it. I'll fight until I can't fight anymore but I'm really depressed right now.

Blogger isn't cooperating with me today, I can't get pictures to load so I can't fill up that second space. It's a challenge working with this after all I learned from JS that I can't use here. Oh well, such is life.

I hope you're all having a better week than I am. Doctor visit tomorrow or the next day to see if my foot is getting any better. It sure doesn't feel like it.

Happy Wednesday.

I would be frustrated too! I've been fighting something for only 10 days, maybe two weeks, and it's depressing me.
Hope it heals quicker Betty! *hugs*

I know it's gotta be wearing you out but let's look at it from this angle... you're being pampered! Enjoy every little moment ;) I've a handy little cowbell I could send you!

I can relate to the not being able to do anything yourself. Ralph has to help me dress/undress, sometimes helps me comb my hair, does ALL the housework, etc., etc. I hope you're back to normal soon. I also tire easily when I walk, because of my bad back and arthritic knees, so we're in the same boat, aren't we? lol. Hang in there...things will get better. HUGS!

Oh sweetie! Big huge hugs! I can't imagine what it is like. I had broken knee caps a few years back, and that was horrible!! Hope the Doc has some good news for you.

I do have to agree with SD, being pampered, that is always nice. :-)

Hang in there sweetite, hopefully you won't need that thing too much longer.

Love ya!!

P.S. I LOVE your journal!!! I did my own tweaking yesterday, I fixed the width, KIT told me how, but I was so proud. Lol. Yeah, I am a dork. ;)

I know its not fun recovering from any kind of illness or hurt limb etc. My hubby had heel surgery in November and he is just now getting to where he can walk again. I helped him with a lot of things and he had a wheelchair, crutches and a shower chair and the shower chair was a real help. I could have never managed him on my own. I pray you will have a speedy recovery! Hugs to you

Hi Betty! I am so sorry to hear that things are not healing as quickly as anticipated. I understand what you are saying about the new aches and pains from compensating for the injury. It really does wear on the spirits as much as the body. Try to be patient with yourself and the situation, and do all that you can to feel better and recover as quickly as possible. Hope you are feeling well and up and about soon!

*BIG HUGS*

Wow, you already have such a good handle on customizing your layout. It's gorgeous as always.
I hope the foot starts feeling better soon.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Broken bones in load bearing places are difficult to deal with because you have to keep off of what you need to get around.
Whoever invented broken bones has a sick sense of humor.
Say hello to Paul

Thanks ((friends), it's so nice to get up and see so many friends comments. I have to stay in bed until Paul comes to help me on with all my contraptions. Then off to the walker to the wheelchair. Such is life. :)
I'll try to get around to comment later today. Thanks again!

Oh gosh Betty, I hope your feeling better soon. As far as healing, it really depends but knowing you, there is no way you'll stay off of it. Also, you have to keep it elevated otherwise it'll swell and cause more pain. SO listen to your dr and rest~~K???

Love and hugs

We don't bounce back like we used to, eh? Rest is all you can do, so learn the code here at Blogger while you're mobile-challenged :-)

Hey sweetie:) You asked how long does it take to heal? Welkl, it took 3 and 1/2 months for mine to heal, and it did'nt heal properly either.

Just this Monday, I was able to walk normal and with my air-nike's again.

The podiatrist has ordered me special shoes, and when they get in, I'll be sure and post them!

I'm feeling really bad for you, as I have endured everything you are, for the last 14 weeks!

It will get healed, and all good things take time.

I managed alone, but it was very hard! I did'nt have a wheelchair, but I have Scoot! He has helped so much, when I have needed to get food in here and no way to get to the store!

Love you, and thinking of you always, (((Betty))) Praying for you.

Love your layout! You sure put alot of time into it. Looks pretty!
